The new band Orbits has garnered much attention since debuting at this year’s edition of Oslo Jazz with a completely sold-out concert. Natalie Sandtorv, Lars Horntveth, and Erlend Mokkelbost come from quite different musical backgrounds, yet Orbits serves as a perfectly natural meeting point. Instrumental tracks meet pop hooks, sound collages, Arthur Verocai-inspired strings, and complex rhythms, all in a symbiotic encounter inviting the listener into a rich sonic world with fantastic musicians and intricate arrangements.
