Tony Kamel is a singer/songwriter and previous frontman for the Grammy nominated group Wood & Wire, Eventually, life starts to knock you around. You have to be ready to fight with a smile. Something Tonys grandmother told him years ago. It occurred to me that life is a beautiful, joyful fight to the death. Tony says. He went into Bruce Robisons analog studio and played these songs live to tape, in one room. The result is a playful and overwhelmingly positive look at the hard parts of a life well lived, expressed through playfully energetic performances of catchy tunes. Its meant to be a celebration of these things, not a lament. Thats why Im smiling through a battered face on the cover.
